Radlett Choral Society

In 2004 the Society celebrated its half-century, having been formed in 1954 with Alan Breed as its first conductor. Since then it has developed into a choir of some 70 members, singing a wide range of music from all centuries and styles. We usually perform four concerts a year, both formal and informal, joined in at least one by the New Mozart Orchestra and professional soloists.

Radlett Choral Society has established links with twin choirs in Lautertal in Germany and Louveciennes in France with regular exchange visits for combined concerts. It also sings from time to time with the Halton Area Band, and is now one of the member societies of the St Albans St Cecilia Festival Society, who present a performance of a major choral work every other year in St Albans Abbey.

RCS also raises money for a designated charity each year through some of its concerts. Radlett Choral Society is a registered charity (no. 262431) and is affiliated to Making Music (the National Federation of Music Societies).
